American Family’s 8U softball team exploded for 16 runs on 27 hits to beat WK Ford 16-5 Thursday night at Lions Park. American Family never trailed in the game against WK Ford and led 5-0 after one, 10-0 after two and 14-1 after three.
In the second meeting between the top two teams in Cal Ripken Major, Auto Body Experts left little doubt this time by leading Huebert Fiberboard from start to finish for a 13-0 win in five innings. Auto Body Experts, 8-1 on the season, scored one run in the first against Huebert Fiberboard and then sent four runs across in the fourth and eight in the fifth to win by the mercy rule.
Prime Construction held little back Monday night against Fayette in Cal Ripken Major at the COCOBA Ball Field. While exploding for eight runs in the top half of the first, Prime Construction came back and plated 14 more runs in the second inning and two more in the third to beat Fayette 24-0 in three innings.

Fayette, 4-2 on the season, opened the game with one run in the first and then sent four runs across in the third and two in each of the fourth and fifth innings of play.
In a close ball game Wednesday night at the BHS Ball Field, Boonville Caterpillar defeated C&R Market 3-2. Boonville Caterpillar, 3-1 on the season, trailed C&R Market 2-0 after the first inning but rallied back with three runs in the top half of the third for the win.
