Rhodes Leonard

Rhodes Leonard qualified for the Junior Olympics in the 800-meter race at the four-state regional meet held in Carl’s Junction, MO in the 17-18 year-old division. Leonard qualified by taking fifth place out of 28. Only the top six advance to the Junior Olympics. This will be his third time competing at the national level. Junior Babe Ruth action

KWRT shortstop Brayden Viertel applies the tag on New Franklin’s Caleb Beaman in the fifth inning Thursday night in Junior Babe Ruth action at Twillman Field in Harley Park. KWRT rallied in the seventh inning to beat New Franklin 11-10. BTC Bank won 19-7 over Fayette in the nightcap. In Wednesday’s games, Prairie Home defeated Fayette 20-1, BTC Bank beat Imhoffs 18-0 and New Franklin blanked Central Realty 9-0. 9, 10, 11 and 12 All-Stars announced

Boonville Cal Ripken President Mike Watts announced the 9, 10, 11 and 12-year-old All-Stars for the 2022 tournament season. Players selected to the Boonville 9-year-old All-Stars Team are: Radley Ball, Trenton Bartolacci, William Black, Jackson Cobb, Reid Hackman, Knox Howell, Breyden Keys, Noah Mathis, Grayson Mayfield, Peyton Newell, Izak Pritchett, Alex Rapp, Korbin Ruffel and Emmett Waller.
