Neidig vaults to first in singles in Jeff City Tournament
The Boonville Lady Pirates tennis team had a great opening weekend while competing in the Jefferson City First Serve Tournament. Although the Lady Pirates finished in last place in the tournament, assistant coach John Neidig said the format was rank order flighted eight person brackets with singles being played on Friday and doubles on Saturday.

BHS Football makes surprise greetings
The Boonville High School football team made surprise visits to Hannah Cole Primary, David Barton Elementary, Laura Speed Elliott Middle School, and Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School on Friday, August 26 to get the students pumped up for their first home football game of the season as the students arrived at their respective schools that morning.

The Boonville Lady Pirates volleyball team hit the courts for a three team Jamboree Tuesday night in Centralia. While the Lady Pirates came away with a record of 3-1 overall, head coach Brittney Lowe said it was a good night but continues to state that defense wins game and that is their focus.

Boonville soccer team ready to start the season fresh in 2022
The Boonville Pirates soccer team knows they have some work to do for the 2022 season under second year coach Alec Adair. After finishing 0-13 overall last year, the Pirate soccer team has started the upcoming season with a clean slate with 18 players suited out for the 2022 season with six returning starters and 13 returning letterwinners.

Boonville cross-country team looks to start strong and finish strong in 2022
The Boonville boys’ and girls’ cross-country team will go into the 2022 season with a new outlook under head coach Melissa Baker. With 11 boys and girls suited out for the upcoming season, which begins on August 30 at Salisbury, Baker said this season will be a little different in terms of how the runners start and how they finish.

Having lost a plethora of seniors to graduation and not knowing who and how many players would return for the upcoming season, Harvey was going to cross her fingers and hope for the best.
