Schupp hits walk off in 10th, Pilot Grove beats Sturgeon 11-10

It took a walk off sacrifice fly by Pilot Grove junior Alec Schupp in the 10th inning to seal a 11-10 win over the Sturgeon Bulldogs Tuesday night CAC action in Pilot Grove. The Tigers, 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the CAC, led Sturgeon 3-1 after the first inning in a tight game throughout which saw the Bulldogs rally back with three in the top half of the second to go up 4-3.

New Franklin edges Prairie Home, 2-0

The New Franklin Bulldogs baseball team scored just enough runs Tuesday night at home to beat the visiting Prairie Home Panthers for a 2-0 victory. Although both pitchers combined for 15 strikeouts in the game, the Bulldogs had just enough offense in the second inning while plating two runs to record their seventh straight win of the 2022 fall season.

One for the ages

Boonville senior quarterback Colby Caton couldn’t forget last year’s 36-30 loss on the final game of the regular season to the Hallsville Indians. While the win by Hallsville gave them their first conference championship in the Tri-County Conference, Caton said he had this game circled on the schedule since the start of the season.
