Pirates find a way to win with another thriller over Southern Boone, 18-14

“Good teams find a way to win ball games,” said Boonville Pirates football coach Greg Hough on Friday night’s 18-14 win over Southern Boone at Gene Reagan Field. After last week’s thrilling win in overtime against Hallsville 59-58, the Pirates have now won three straight since their season opener against state-ranked Pleasant Hill to improve to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the Tri-County Conference.

Boonville CC competes in Fulton Invite

The Boonville boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams competed in the Fulton Cross-Country Invite over the weekend. While competing against 142 runners in the boy’s division and 128 runners in the girl’s division, Boonville assistant coach Becky Eckerle said Fulton meet is always one that the boys and girls enjoy going to.
