Boonville girls’ softball coach Christie Zoeller said errors took the Lady Pirates completely out of the game Tuesday night in a 15-7 loss to the Battle Spartans. While dropping to 8-10 on the season, Zoeller said the team committed a total of nine errors and there is simply no way to come back from that.
The Boonville Lady Pirates volleyball team is getting closer to putting it all together. Although the Lady Pirates fell in three sets on the road against the Fatima Comets Tuesday night 21-25, 2426 and 21-25, head coach Brittney Lowe said the girls did a lot of things right as a team and fought hard.
The Pilot Grove baseball team broke a 1-1 tie after 2 ½ by outscoring Jamestown 8-6 for the rest of the game for a 9-7 win Tuesday night in Jamestown. The Tigers, improving to 9-1 on the season, scored three runs in the third and five again in the fifth to lead the Eagles 9-5 after five.
The Boonville Lady Pirates tennis team picked up its second win of the season Monday night at home by beating the Knob Noster Lady Panthers 6-3. The Lady Pirates, 2-6 on the season, recorded wins in four out of the six singles matches and then came back to post wins in two out of three doubles matches.

The LSE girls seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams fell in two straight sets Monday night against Blair Oaks in Tri-County Conference action at Boonville. In the seventh grade match, Blair Oaks defeated LSE 25-11 and 25-15.
New Franklin’s baseball team raised its season record to a perfect 9-0 by beating the Glasgow Yellowjackets 10-0 in six innings Tuesday night in CAC action in New Franklin. New Franklin coach Erich Gerding said the batter of Clayton ( Wilmsmeyer) and Drew (Rhorer) gave the Bulldogs a great effort again.
The Ss. Peter & Paul girls eighth grade volleyball team captured first in the Sacred Heart Tournament over the weekend in Sedalia by finishing 7-0-2 on the season.
The Pilot Grove baseball team finished 1-1 in the Eugene Bash on Saturday after losing to the host team in the first game 6-0 and beating Higbee in the second game 7-2. The Tigers, 7-1 after Saturday’s games, failed to score for the first time this season while giving up three runs in each of the third and fifth innings of play against Eugene.
The Pilot Grove Lady Tigers softball team scored the game’s only run in the bottom half of the fourth to beat Jamestown 1-0 Thursday night in Pilot Grove. The Lady Tigers, 6-5 on the season and winners of two straight, also got a complete- game victory from senior Marci Lammers.
