The Bunceton with Prairie Home boys and girls middle school basketball teams picked up a pair of wins Thursday night on the road by beating Pilot Grove by the scores of 39-25 and 44-25, respectively. In the girl’s game, the Lady Dragons led Pilot Grove 29-15 at the half and then outscored the Tigers 15-10 in the second half.
The Boonville Lady Pirates softball team didn’t have quite the outcome they were looking for over the weekend while competing in the Carthage Tournament on Friday and Saturday. But considering the teams the Lady Pirates went up against such as Carthage, Ozark, Jefferson City and Mc-Donald County, Boonville head coach Christie Zoeller said the girls will take the lessons they learned and use them to make the team better as they roll into districts.
The Boonville Lady Pirates softball team hung with one of the best teams in mid Missouri for six innings Tuesday night at Bill Simmons Field at Rolling Hills Park. But like all good teams, the Fulton Lady Hornets found a way to win while exploding for six runs in the seventh inning for a 9-1 victory.
Missing a perfect season by two games, the New Franklin baseball team still managed to close out the fall campaign with a winning record at 13-2 Tuesday night by beating Jamestown 10-3 in the season finale in New Franklin.
The Pilot Grove Lady Tigers softball team had a much better game than the previous three Wednesday night on the road in a 12-3 loss against the Cairo Lady Bearcats in CAC action. The Lady Tigers, dropping to 7-11 on the season, trailed Cairo from the first inning on as the Bearcats led 4-1 after one and 5-1 after two.

The Pilot Grove boys middle school basketball team won its home opener Tuesday night by beating the Jamestown Eagles 25-18. The Tigers, 1-1 on the season, trailed Jamestown 10-8 at the half and 18-17 after three before rallying back with an 8-0 advantage in the final period for the win.
