BPH basketball earned third place in the Otterville Tournament on December 29. Beating Hermitage 54 – 20 clinched the third-place finish for BPH.
High school sports garner significant attention in communities that want to support their student- athletes. But what about students who aren’t inclined to compete on the field or in the gym? There are many more non-athletes than athletes, and the following are some extracurricular activities that might appeal to students who aren’t interested in sports.
After a loss to the Tigers earlier this season, the Lady Pirate basketball team was able to defeat Macon 5138 on December 29 at the Moberly Area Community College Shootout. Bella Imhoff led the Pirates with 15 points scored.
The BHS Pirate boys basketball team fell to the Macon Tigers 51 – 66 on December 29 at the Moberly Area Community College Shootout. Cooper Pfeiffer led the Pirates with 18 points.
The Pilot Grove Tigers, both boys and girls, basketball teams participated in the W-K Shootout at State Fair Community College on December 28. The Lady Tigers beat Montrose 52 – 29 during the shootout.

It didn’t come as a surprise that Boonville senior Emma Neidig would sign a national letter of intent last Friday with Drury University in Springfield. As the winningest tennis player in Lady Pirate history, Neidig said she chose Drury because they were ranked 17th in the nation last year for Division II schools and is top of the GLVC.
