Pirates look to make some noise in TCC, districts in 2023
The Boonville Pirates baseball team will have a heavy senior laden class going into the 2023 season under interim coach Fred Smith. With the program thrown into disarray during the second week of practice, Smith immediately stepped in to lead a Pirates’ team of 31 players and seven fulltime starters for the upcoming season.

Pirate netters will return 11 letterwinners in 2023
Excited is an understatement when describing the Boonville Pirates tennis team for the spring season. Although the Pirates fell on hard times last year at 3-7 overall under head coach Ryan Brimer, the 2023 season hopes to be a complete turnaround with 11 returning varsity lettermen and three of the top six back this season.

Boonville Pirates track team will “Pursue Excellence” in 2023
Boonville boys track coach Ryan Lyons had one word to describe the Pirates for the 2023 season: excitement. With 33 athletes suited out for the upcoming season, nine of which are returning letterwinners, Lyons said the team will have many new, young sprinters and throwers out this season joining an experienced group of mid-distance, distance runners that will allow the team to compete at a high level and build a solid foundation for the future.
Bigger numbers mean more events to compete in for Lady Pirates
Boonville girls track coach Melissa Baker has two words to describe the 2023 Lady Pirates track team: Untapped potential. With 23 girls suited out for the upcoming season, 12 of which are returning letterwinners, Baker said the team chemistry has been encouraging towards each other.
Lady Pirates look to build from last year
The Boonville Lady Pirates soccer team may look totally different entering the 2023 season. With 29 girls suited out for the upcoming season, eight of which are returning starters and 14 as returning letterwinners, head coach Alec Adair said the girls are really looking to build on the progress they made toward the end of last season.
