After dropping a 9 inning thriller on Thursday against Blair Oaks, the Boonville Pirates C Team came back with a sweep on Friday against the Centralia Panthers, winning 5-4 and 6-4. The Pirates, 2-1 on the season, never trailed in the game against Centralia in Game 1 but had the game tied at 1-1 in the second and 4-all in the top of the fifth before rallying back with the winning run on a sacrifice fly by freshman Brody Porter in the bottom half of the inning.

The Boonville Lady Pirates soccer team suffered its first loss of the 2023 season Friday night in the championship in the Clinton Cup Invitational by losing to the host team 5-0. The Lady Pirates, 3-1 on the season, failed to score for the first time this season against a team that head coach Alec Adair had speed all over the field.

Carly Dorson and Kelsi Fair captured first place finishes while competing in the Westran Open in Huntsville on Wednesday. Dorson finished first in the 1600 meter run in a time of 6:37.03 while Fair placed first in the shot put with a toss of 31’-10 ¼”.
