The Boonville Pirates golf team finished third out of four teams on Thursday while competing in a quad at Old Hawthorne Country Club in Columbia. California captured first in the meet with a team score of 323, followed by Centralia at 361, Boonville at 366 and Eugene at 424.

The Boonville boys and girls track teams capped off a long week with its third track meet in five days by competing in the Ron Whittaker Bulldog Classic in Mexico. With all six schools from the NCMC competing in the meet along with Centralia, Father Tolton, Montgomery County and South Callaway, Boonville girls track coach Melissa Baker said despite a long week for the athletes the girls still had some great finishes in races and a couple of PRs.

The Pilot Grove baseball team scored four runs in the firsttwo innings and never looked back, beating BPH Thursday night in Prairie Home 6-1. The Tigers, 9-3 on the season, only scored in three of the seven innings but it was enough while picking up their ninth win of the season.
