Alliant Bank wins big over Rick Ball Auto Group in Minor, 15-3

Citizen’s Community Bank rallies past Boonville Caterpillar 10-8 in the nightcap Alliant Bank scored three runs in the second inning and four again in the third to beat Rick Ball Auto Group 15-3 in Cal Ripken Minor Wednesday night at the COCOBA Ball Field at Harley Park. In the nightcap, Citizen’s Community Bank rallied past Boonville Caterpillar 10-8.

New Franklin, Prairie Home and Pilot Grove to send several athletes on to state

The New Franklin, Prairie Home and Pilot Grove track teams were well represented at the Class 1 Sectional 1 Track Meet Saturday at New Haven High School. With the top four in each event moving on to the Class 1 Missouri State Track and Field Championships at Adkins Stadium at Jefferson City High School on Friday and Saturday, May 19-20, the New Franklin boys and girls qualified for state in a total of five events while Prairie Home qualified in three events, and Pilot Grove in two.

Pirates drop regular season finale against Rock Bridge

It’s not how the Boonville Pirates baseball team wanted to finish Friday while hosting Class 6 and state-ranked Rock Bridge in the regular season finale at Twillman Field in Harley Park. With the district tournament continuing on Monday, May 15 in Oak Grove, the Pirates would have preferred to give the Bruins a good game heading into the semifinals of the district tournament against the host team Monday at 4:30 p.m.
