Jamestown, Glasgow lead Class 1 District 3 all-district selections
The Jamestown Lady Eagles softball team will represent Class 1 District 3 in the next round of the state playoffs after knocking off top-seeded Glasgow in the championship game Tuesday night in Glasgow 2-1.The Lady Eagles, 18-6 on the season, faced off against Salisbury in the quarterfinal round of the state tournament on Saturday, October 21 in Jamestown.
Painter selected MVP in Central Activities Conference in softball for 2023 season
After capturing the CAC title this fall in softball at 7-0, the Community R-6 Lady Trojans also had the MVP for the 2023 season in senior Paige Painter.In all, Community R-6 finished with a total of three all-conference selections for the season.

New Franklin Middle School boys cross-country team finishes second at state
The New Franklin boys’ cross-country team fell short in its bid to win a state title over the weekend while competing in the Middle School Cross-Country State Championship in Wheatland.While competing against a field of over 200 runners, the Bulldogs finished second behind Academy Lafeyette in the final-team standings 70-94.
