Boonville wrestlers gear up for Tri-County Conference Tournament on Jan. 5

The Boonville Pirates and Lady Pirates wrestling teams will kick off the new year with two tournaments in two days while competing in the Tri-County Conference Tournament on Friday, January 5 in Hallsville and the Marshall Tournament on Saturday, January 6.So far for the 2023 season, the Pirates are currently 3-3 compared to 5-1 for the Lady Pirates.Also, for the Pirates, five wrestlers currently boast double digit wins for the season with Jayden Davis at 15-4 overall, Tyson White at 14-5, Xavier Flippin at 12-5, Ryder Comegys at 12-6 and Eli Stock at 12-8.

LSE 7th boys beat Hallsville 56-32 in season finale, 8th boys lose 50-30

The LSE boys’ seventh grade basketball team led Hallsville from start to finish for a 56-32 win Monday night at Hallsville.As for the LSE boys’ eighth grade basketball team, they fell to Hallsville 50-30.The seventh grade Pirates, 11-2 on the season, opened the first half with a 32-16 lead against Hallsville and then outscored the Indians 24-16 in the final-two periods for the win.“We played a great game all around.
