The BPH boys’ and girls’ basketball teams opened the conference season in winning fashion Tuesday night at Bunceton.While the BPH girls defeated Calvary Lutheran 59-47, the BPH boys led the Lions from start to finish for a 63-40 victory.The BPH girls, 7-9 on the season and 1-0 in the CCAA Conference, opened the first quarter with a 17-11 lead against Calvary Lutheran and then outscored the Lions 17-12 in the second to extend the lead at the half to 34-23.

The Boonville Pirates and Lady Pirates wrestling teams finished with a split on the road Tuesday night against Fulton and Fatime.For the Boonville Pirates wrestling team, they defeated Fulton 47-24 while losing to Fatima 53-29.

The New Franklin boys’ basketball team moved on to the second round of the Sturgeon Tournament Tuesday night by beating Paris 63-31.The Bulldogs, 15-2 on the season, jumped out to a 23-5 lead in the first quarter against Paris and then outscored the Coyotes 22-15 in the second to take a 45-20 lead at the half.
