Citizen’s Community Bank remained unbeaten on the season by turning back Wylde Taxidermy 6-5 in Boonslick 8U softball Tuesday night at Lions Park.CCB, 4-0 on the season, opened the game with three runs in the first inning while Wylde Taxidermy rallied back with two runs in the top-half of the third to cut the lead to one at 3-2.
New Franklin Athletic Director and head baseball coach Erich Gerding said six members of the Bulldogs Baseball Team received MBCA Academic All-State for the 2024 season.Receiving the award were Tanner Bishop, Jake Marshall, Luke Poulsen, Connor Wilmsmeyer, Lane Hackman and Nolan McGowan.Gerding said the New Franklin baseball team also finished with a team GPA of 3.63, which was second in Class 1.
