Wilmsmeyer Farms broke a 2-2 tie after four innings by outscoring Shelter Insurance 3-0 in the final-two innings for a 5-2 victory in New Franklin Little League Baseball Tuesday night in New Franklin.Wilmsmeyer Farms opened the game with one run in the first only to have Shelter Insurance rally back with two in the bottom half of the second to go up 2-1.
Citizen’s Community Bank picked up the sweep by beating Creations by Diana Tuesday night in the Boonslick 8U softball league 11-7 and 15-4.Citizen’s Community Bank led Creations by Diana 5-4 in the first and 9-7 in the second before plating two more runs in the third to win Game 1.Ellie Mae Kennell picked up the win in the circle for CCB while Brecklyn Martin took the loss for Creations by Diana.
Scooters remained perfect on the season by beating ACJ Construction 14-2 in four innings Tuesday night in the Boonslick 12U softball league at Rolling Hills Park.In the second game, Boonville Abstract led State Farm from start to finish for a 15-13 victory.Scooters, 6-0 on the season, opened the game against ACJ Construction with five runs in the first and then sent five runs across in the second, one again in the third and three in the fourth for the victory.
Pilot Grove COOP scored the three most important runs of the ball game to beat Fayette 3-2 in Midget League action Tuesday night at the Midget League Field.Pilot Grove COOP, improving to 5-2 on the season, scored all three runs in the second inning while Fayette plated two runs in the fourth to complete the scoring in the ball game.Brock Shadwick picked up the win for Pilot Grove COOP while Leland Davison took the loss for Fayette, who dropped to 7-2 on the season.
The Second Annual Boonville Pirate Athletics Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, June 22 at Hail Ridge Golf Course with shotgun start at 9 a.m.Registration fee is $100 per player or $300 per team.
