Despite two losses each, New Franklin and KWRT remained in the hunt in the Junior Babe Ruth League Tuesday night with wins over Pilot Grove and Salisbury.While New Franklin defeated Pilot Grove 12-3 in five innings, KWRT won 11-4 in the nightcap over Salisbury.Thursday’s games in JBR have been canceled due to teams not having enough players due to basketball camp.

After a 10-10 tie after two innings Tuesday night in 12U softball at Rolling Hills Park, State Farm scored just enough runs in the final-two innings to beat Boonville Abstract by a score of 13-10.Meanwhile, in the nightcap, Scooters improved to 11-0 on the season by turning back ACJ Construction 11-10.State Farm, who closed out the season at 2-8-1, scored five runs in each of the first-two innings only to have Boonville Abstract answer in the same innings to tie the game at 10-all.
