The New Franklin Bulldogs baseball team had the worst possible start Tuesday night at home against the Community R-6 Trojans.Trailing 3-0 in the top half of the second after committing three errors, the Bulldogs finally settled down enough to rally with seven runs over the final six innings for a 7-6 victory.

The LSE girls’ seventh volleyball team beat the Centralia Panthers in two straight Tuesday night at Centralia 25-9 and 25-17.As for the LSE eighth grade volleyball team, they fell in two straight against the Lady Panthers 21-25 and 21-25.
Pilot Grove girls’ softball coach Avery Reardon said Tuesday’s 12-3 win over the Madison Panthers is a reversal of how the games have been going lately for the Lady Tigers.Although Reardon was glad to get the win, he added that the Lady Tigers started off slow and lacked energy in the first two innings.
The Boonville Lady Pirates volleyball team snapped a six-game skid Monday night on the road by beating the Mexico Lady Bulldogs in four sets 26-28, 26-24, 25-23 and 25-13.While the Lady Pirates improved to 6-10 on the season, head coach Joedi Herzog said the girls were able to come together as a team and win.
The Bunceton boys’ middle school basketball team fell at home Tuesday night against Prairie Home 37-20.The Dragons, 0-5 on the season, trailed Prairie Home 24-13 at the half and 34-16 after three quarters of play before rallying back with a 4-3 advantage in the final period.Bunceton coach Russ Mudd said the second quarter killed the Dragons.
