The Boonville Pirates soccer team had a tough night on Tuesday while hosting the Southern Boone Eagles at the Boonville City Soccer Fields.While playing one of the top teams in Class 2 year in and year out, the Eagles looked every bit as good as a top 10 team in the state by scoring nine first half goals to beat Boonville 9-0.“Southern Boone is a talented team and they’re always a tough matchup,” said Boonville soccer coach Alec Adair.

The Pilot Grove Lady Tigers softball team fell at home Tuesday night against the Harrisburg Lady Bulldogs, losing 13-1 in four innings.The Lady Tigers, dropping to 4-12 on the season, scored their only run of the ball game in the bottom half of the fourth while Harrisburg plated one in the second, nine in the third and seve3n in the fourth to win by the run rule.Pilot Grove coach Avery Reardon said last night’s game against Harrisburg was incredibly disappointing for the Lady Tigers as a whole.
