The Boonville Pirates football team knew from Day 1 when the district assignments were released that in order to win a district title they would have to go through Blair Oaks.
The New Franklin A boys’ middle school basketball team left little doubt this time Tuesday night at home against the Pilot Grove Tigers.After playing the Tigers close earlier in the season in the Prairie Home Tournament, the Bulldogs came out and outscored Pilot Grove in all four quarters for a 40-18 victory.Of course, it didn’t hurt that New Franklin led Pilot Grove 15-3 after one, 21-8 at the half and 31-10 after three quarters of play.
