Oswald named to Missouri Babe Ruth Hall of Fame

After compiling over 200 wins along with four league champions in the Cal Ripken Division, six league championships in the Junior/Senior Division and one state championship in 1999 as an All-Star coach, Boonville native Randy Oswald said he was surprised by the announcement that he was selected to the Missouri Babe Ruth Hall of Fame Thursday during opening ceremonies at the Cal Ripken 9 and 12-year-old State Tournament at the COCOBA Ball Field at Harley Park.

MoDOT Route 5 and 40 intersection changes now bundled with 2 other projects

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – A project to improve the intersection at Missouri Route 5 and U.S. Route 40 will now bundle with two other nearby projects, in an effort to secure the best value and product for taxpayers. The intersection improvements, a bridge rehabilitation on Route 5 over Sulphur Creek and a project to resurface Routes 124, BB & CC in Boone and Howard counties are scheduled to go out for contractor bids in October 2025.

Red, White, and Blue concert to celebrate Thespian Hall returns

The Thespian Hall Conservatory Band returns to Boonville on Thursday, July 3, at 7:30 pm for a “Red, White, and Blue Celebration” in Thespian Hall. The ensemble will be performing the works of Leroy Anderson, and John Philips Sousa, plus “Armed Forces Salute,” and America’s March: “The Stars and Stripes Forever.” Also included will be selections from “The Sound of Music,” and a musical salute to “The Blues Brothers.” The concert celebrates the 168th Anniversary of the Dedication of Thespian Hall and America’s Birthday on July 4.
