Mizzou releases fall 2024 dean’s list

Victorian high tea celebrates P.E.O. Founders’ Day

Boonville Chapter GO of P.E.O. hosted a Founders’ Day celebration on January 25 for the five chapters in Cooper and Howard Counties. The “Victorian High Tea” took place in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church in Boonville. The Fellowship Hall was a perfect setting for the event with its history of being the location of the First Presbyterian Church School in Boonville in 1872. Joining members of host Chapter GO for the celebration were members from Chapter MJ of Boonville, Chapter GG of New Franklin, and Chapters AU and NN of Fayette.

Prairie Home announces water and sewer markings

Representatives from the Missouri Rural Water Association will be performing duties to document the City’s water and sewer infrastructure using Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping, according to the city’s website. Mary Sue Fontana writes that for the city to prepare for this task, blue, and green marking flags and paint will be used to identify the location of water meters, valves, and sewer manholes. Please do not remove these flags until after work is complete, which is tentatively schedules for February 18th or 19th. However, this is a very weather-dependent task, and it may not be completed until a later date. If you have any questions, you may contact City Hall. (660) 841-5524
