The Hannah Cole and Columbian chapters of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) met last Sunday, September 28th, at Barnes Cemetery, south of Columbia, to honor the memory of and dedicate a memorial marker to Shadrack Barnes, a Revolutionary War patriot.

Saturday October 11 will be a busy weekend in the Blackwater/Arrow Rock region of Cooper and Saline Counties.
The Boonville Community Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life within our community by inspiring charitable giving, fostering partnerships, and connecting donors to the causes they care about most.
To make it convenient to obtain tickets for the 4th Annual Sippin’ Strollin’ Rockin’ & Rollin’ celebration on October 18 in Historic Downtown Boonville, online ticket sales are now available through the Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce website—boonvillemochamber.com. The directions are simple. Once at the website, select the Events tab, which will show a calendar of events throughout the year. Then click on Sippin’ Strollin’ Rockin’ & Rollin’ which brings up the details for this year’s event, as well as a way to order tickets online or by using a QR code. The QR code is also included on the event flyer that is being distributed to local merchants and businesses throughout Boonville, Cooper County, and nearby communities.
