Boonville Schools chosen for Premier Student Advising Program
The decision of a future path, whether it is educational, employment, or enlistment, can weigh heavily on high school students’ minds. Boonville Schools are aware of the challenges Boonville High School and Boonslick Technical Education Center (BTEC) students face while planning their futures. Understanding this need, the district identified the opportunity to apply for the Missouri Postsecondary Advising Initiative (MPAI). DESE announced Boonville was selected as one of the first 40 school districts to receive the grant. Selection was based on school and community need, COVID impact in the community, and geography.

All next week, the high school student council will be collecting toys for the Toys for Tots program. Please consider donating new, unwrapped toys so that those in need can have a nice Christmas. All donations will be used locally. A collection box will be placed outside both the elementary and high school offices.

Community fundraiser planned for Brantley Edwards
(Boonville, MO) A community fundraiser is in the works for Cooper County resident, Brantley Edwards, 23, after an accident on October 30, left him with serious injuries. Edwards was handling a mortar when it malfunctioned and exploded, severing the fingers on his left hand and half of his right hand.
It’s not too late to tag your buck this season
In many Midwestern states, the regular firearms seasons are behind us. A large number of bucks have found their way to fame in hunters’ Facebook feeds, but for those of you still struggling to fill your freezer, don’t give up now. Students and staff picked as citizenship stars for November are Garrison Parkhurst, Kai Fennewald, Willow Bell, Graysin Thomas, Candace Parkhurst, Christal Jones, and Angela Schultz. Santa will make an appearance at Bunceton Lions Club on December 4th at 10:00 am.
