Columbia-based Missouri Task Force 1 returned home Thursday after a three-day deployment to Kentucky in the wake of deadly tornadoes there last weekend. The task force joined forces with other Federal Emergency Management teams, said group leader Doug Westhoff.

For several years, the Boonville Rotary Club has provided smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors to the Boonville Fire Department to give to area people in need.
