BRLMOBILE2GO spring outreach schedule

Boonslick Regional Library’s Outreach Services, BRLMobile2GO, provides outreach to Pettis, Benton and Cooper counties to residents who are not able to visit a library location, including senior centers, day cares, schools, community centers and remote areas. BRL2GO provides free Wi-Fi access to rural communities, brings books to community centers, schools and rural areas, delivers books on a schedule each month, brings specifically requested titles or a new collection at each visit, and provides all Outreach Services free of charge. GasBuddy sees robust summer road trip season

DALLAS, TX – GasBuddy, the leading fuel savings platform saving North American drivers the most money on gas, today released its 2025 Summer Travel Survey results and forecast for summer travel, revealing that American road trip culture remains resilient despite ongoing economic uncertainty. GasBuddy forecasts that the national average price of gasoline will be $3.08 per gallon on Memorial Day, making it the cheapest Memorial Day at the pump since 2021, but lowest inflation adjusted since 2003*. Prices are forecast to average $3.02 per gallon over the summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with a sub-$3 per gallon national average possible on some days, especially toward the latter half of the summer.

Pleasant Green United Methodist celebrates its Bicentennial

The Pleasant Green United Methodist Church celebrated it’s 200th anniversary on Sunday, May 18 with over 125 people in attendance. Founded in 1825 by the Walker, Cockrell, Johnson and Forbes families who held services in their various homes until they built a log church on 1 1/2 acres donated by Winston and Polly Rubey Walker behind their home called Pleasant Green after an earlier home in Virginia.
