Graves, Missouri lawmakers champion rural health, unlocking access to quality care for rural communities

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressional Republicans and President Trump recently delivered critical resources to rural communities in Missouri and across the United States that have long struggled to establish access to basic health care services. Under the new tax cuts for working families law, a $50 billion Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) was created to help expand access to care in rural communities. States can apply for funding to help improve and sustain access to quality health care services and care delivery systems for such communities while recruiting and retaining a rural clinical workforce.

Bunceton junior high basketball holds its first game

Bunceton Lady Dragons Jr. High basketball team had the first game of the season on September 24 when they were host to the Lady Eagles from Jamestown. Bunceton scored first but Jamestown had the hotter hand, leading by 9 at the half. But the Lady Dragons caught their second breath and made a run towards the end of the game coming within 2 points when the final buzzer sounded. Leading the team for Bunceton was Reigan Thompson with 22 points, and Addalie Saylor scored 4 to give them a total of 26 points to Jamestown’s 28.

BRLMOBILE2GO fall outreach schedule

Boonslick Regional Library’s Outreach Services, BRLMobile2GO, provides outreach to Pettis, Benton and Cooper counties to residents who are not able to visit a library location, including senior centers, day cares, schools, community centers and remote areas. BRL2GO provides free Wi-Fi access to rural communities, brings books to community centers, schools and rural areas, delivers books on a schedule each month, brings specifically requested titles or a new collection at each visit, and provides all Outreach Services free of charge.
