Capitol Report: Omnibus Agriculture Bill (HB 1720) passes the Missouri House

We in the Missouri House are finally receiving bills from committees and the discussions on the floor are beginning to pick up. One very important bill that influences the largest segment of the 48th District’s economy is House Bill 1720. We approved legislation that will renew key programs designed to support and promote agriculture in the state. With bipartisan support, HB 1720 was approved and will continue several agriculture programs that are priorities for the agriculture community in Missouri.

Prairie Home News: Mustard Seed Food Pantry holds January distribution

The Mustard Seed Food Pantry at Prairie Home United Methodist Church held their January distribution on Thursday, January 20. In spite of the frigid, single digit wind chill, 17 households were served. Volunteers included Brenda and Donnie Sells, Jerry Oglesbay, Dennis Toalson, Angela Marcum, Betty and Dave Hatfield, Don Almond, and Nancy Kixmiller. The Mustard Seed distributes the third Thursday of the month.
