Saints Peter and Paul School Holds Annual Auction

On Saturday February 26, Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School will host their 36th annual Home and School Auction. This year’s event will be an in-person event and starts at 5:30 pm with a steak dinner available for purchase for just $20. The full menu includes steak, baked potato, salad, green beans, roll, and dessert. During and following dinner there are four different silent auction item tables that will close at various times throughout the evening. A live auction will commence at 7 pm. Over 75 items have been generously donated by the community for the live auction including but not limited to; a 12-weekold Golden Doodle puppy (who will be present at the auction), a two-night stay at Paradise Point in Branson, two Cardinals Club Tickets with a VIP Parking Pass, and a Travis Kelce & Tony Gonzalez Autographed Football Helmet.

New rules mean more Cooper County residents are eligible for Missouri medicaid

Boonville, Missouri – The rules have changed. Now, more Missourians can get low-cost or free health insurance through Missouri’s Medicaid program, MO HealthNet. This includes many Cooper County residents. Many adults who have not qualified before, including those without children, are now eligible. For example, a single adult making up to $1,482 a month or a family of four making up to $3,048 a month can now get covered. Medicaid coverage includes doctor visits, mental health care, dental services, prescription medication, and more.

Boonville High School Booster Club Trivia deemed a success

Saturday night brought trivia buffs from all over Boonville to the Isle of Capri ballroom for the Boonville High School Booster Club’s annual trivia night. Booster Club President Charlie Campbell welcomed a ballroom packed with trivia teams. “Over the last six year, we have been able to fund over $100,000 in projects” he told everyone. “Trivia night is one of our biggest fundraising events”. Campbell went on to say the event keeps growing. When it was first held, they had just over 20 teams registered. This year, there were 37 teams participating that included local businesses, service clubs, school personnel, and parents.

AAA: Missouri gas price average climbs as crude oil prices and demand for fuel increase

The statewide gas price average in Missouri is $3.16 for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel, according to the AAA Missouri Weekend Gas Watch. That price is five cents more compared to this day last week and is 94 cents more per gallon compared to this day last year. Of the major metropolitan areas surveyed in Missouri, drivers in St. Louis are paying the most on average at $3.20 while drivers in St. Joseph are paying the least at $3.09 per gallon. The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.48, which is six cents more compared to this day last week and $1.00 more than the price per gallon at this same time last year, according to AAA Gas Prices.
