Missouri Senator Roy Blunt made a brief stop at Taylor’s Bake Shop in Boonville on Saturday to talk about the war in Ukraine, high inflation, energy and the latest Supreme Court nominee. While speaking to local dignitaries as well as citizens of Cooper County, Blunt said the confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson wouldn’t change the balance of power on the court. Blunt also made stops at Versailles and Tipton to discuss broadband. As a member of the Senate Commerce and Appropriations Committees, one of Blunt’s top priorities has been expanding access to broadband. The Missouri Senator also discussed agriculture. The son of dairy farmers, Blunt has worked to ensure Missouri farmers and ranchers have the tools they need to feed and fuel the world. Blunt backed the most recent government funding bill, which was signed into law this month, and includes critical investments in Missouri ag and infrastructure priorities. (Photo by Liz Davis)
