Isle of Capri donates to Howard County animal rescue group

The Isle of Capri recently donated $728 to PAWS (Pet Adoption and Welfare Service). PAWS serves the needs of dogs and cats in Howard County. PAWS Co-Chair Nancy Shepherd and her adorable dog “China” accepted the donation on May 4th. How Memorial Day came to be

John Alexander Logan was born near Murphysboro, Illinois, on February 9, 1826, the son of Dr. John Logan and his second wife, Elizabeth (Jenkins) Logan. He enlisted during the Mexican-American war and was comissioned a second lieutenant. Following the war Logan studied law, graduated from the University of Louisville’s law department in 1851, and began a successful law practice.
