BOONVILLE, MO. – The Boonslick Regional Library – Boonville Branch Summer Reading Program “Oceans of Possibilities” starts June 2 and continues through July 30. Readers of all ages can dive into the ocean depths this summer with programs, story times, book club, prize drawings and more.

Boonslick Master Gardeners hold plant sale on Sat. June 4th

It’s the Missouri Master Gardener Extension Program. The Master Gardener program began in the early 1970s. The Washington State University Extension Service in the Seattle area sought for a way to respond to the many gardening questions that resulted from a rapid in the program has spread to all 50 states and several Canadian provinces as well. To become trained as a Master Gardener, an individual must complete a 30 hour core training course. Core training is offered both in person and online. Then the Master Gardener trainee is required to give 30 hours of volunteer service back to the community in approved MU Extension activities.
