Heritage Days Quilt Show features Lola Watts

The Quilt FanAttics have been hosting the quilt show at Heritage Days for years at the First Christian Church on Fourth Street. This year was no different. The church sanctuary will filled with beautiful quilts loaned for the weekend by residents of Boonville and Cooper County. This year there were 85 pieces of art on display. Members of the Quilt FanAttics were on hand to answer questions about the quilts and the quilting process. As well as to demonstrate the craft of putting together a quilt. The oldest quilt on display this year was owned by Carla Brewer. It was made in 1900 and is named Sunbonnet Sue after the pattern it features. Carla’s great-grandmother made this quilt for her granddaughters. It was hand pieced, appliqued, and quilted.
