Western Cooper County Commissioner clarifies August 31 meeting

In a statement released by Western Cooper County Commissioner, Danny Larm wanted to clarify the special meeting called by the county commissioners on Wednesday, August 31 to appoint the interim Cooper County Clerk. At that meeting, Susan Twitchell was appointed as the interim Cooper County Clerk, replacing Sarah Herman who had resigned her position. The vote was 2-1 in favor of Twitchell, with Don Baragary and Charlie Melkersman voting in favor. “I voiced my vote for Deputy Clerk Jerrid Richardson. I felt, and still feel, Jerrid is the best choice for interim clerk as he has four years of experience as the Deputy Clerk. That experience is what is needed as the General Election in November approaches,” Larm stated.

For the last 10 years, the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) has been working to do so with their initiative Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt.
