It’s almost time for the 54th Annual Heritage Festival held in Arrow Rock each October. Arrow Rock was one of the first town’s to host a heritage craft festival back in 1969, making this annual event one of Missouri’s oldest and most popular heritage festivals.

The Boonville High School Silver Pirate Band competed along with 56 other high school bands in the 52nd Carrollton Band Day on Saturday, September 24. The 80 member band, as well as 13 members of the Boonville Dance Team competed in two segments of competition.

New bathroom facilities at the Cooper County Fairgrounds are one step closer to reality. Members of the fair board, county elected officials, 4-H club leaders, 4-H and FFA members, and citizens of Cooper County, some who had donated to the project, met on Monday evening September 26 at the fairgrounds, to break ground on the new bathroom facilities.

It’s Homecoming week for Boonville High School. The Boonville Pirates will take on the California Pintos for the Homecoming game on Friday, September 30.
