Be prepared for processing wild game

One of the first pieces of hunting equipment I owned was a Buck 102 knife. It had been my father’s. He gave it to me. Over the years, I’ve notched the sheath each time I took a deer. Bunceton students show support for breast cancer research

Last week the students and staff of Cooper County R-IV School in Bunceton showed support for breast cancer research by wearing pink every day to school. Each high school and middle school grade made posters that were displayed for the volleyball pink out game played on Friday evening against Chamois. In the volleyball match on Friday evening, Bunceton/ Prairie Home (BPH) led for most of the first set but Chamois rallied back and took the first game. In the second set, Madison Brown served 13 straight points to help get the win. The third set was touch and go until Jordan Alpers served nine straight points to get BPH in the lead for good and Daisie Huth finished the game with the final five serves to win the set. The fourth set started out the same as the third, but with teamwork, they pulled it away for the win. Scores for the four sets were 23-25, 25-10, 25-10, and 25-15. It was wonderful how the crowd, led by the Prairie Home boys, were really showing support for their team. The PH boys were all decked out in pink (one even wore a dress) and spirited the girls on. BPH won 3-1.
