First Baptist Church hosts Trunk or Treats on Oct 30
October 30 was a dreary day and evening, but even the rain couldn’t keep youngsters from dressing up and heading for the parking lot at 625 Main Street in Boonville on Sunday evening for Trunk or Treats. The light rain was letting up by 5:30 which helped. Members of First Baptist Church, many of them also in costumes, decorated the trunks of their cars and backs of their pick-ups, set up games and challenges, and handed out candy. Lots of candy! It seemed that handing out candy was as much fun as receiving it. An hour into the two-hour event, volunteers were scurrying around restocking cars and pickups with more candy. An old-fashioned hayride was available for a trip through town and appeared to have a line waiting as each load disembarked.
