The popular Boonslick Regional Library Bookmobile–BRLMOBILE2GO– will be featured at Kid’s Day at the Farmer’s Market on Saturday, August 2, from 8 am until Noon. The Bookmobile will have a variety of books to offer to children of all ages. In addition to the Bookmobile, information about Library programs and activities will be available, as well as details about how to get a Library card or renew one.
Results from the Bunceton July 4th Bike and Car Show are in. In Class 1, which had Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury stock entries, first place was awarded to Toney Wells, and second to Karen Winters. First place for the Class 2 Ford Lincoln Mercury Custom entries went to Chris Frye, second to Don Basinger, and third to Tom Winters. Class 3 was all GM Stock and getting first place was Branden Pearson, Steve Bryan second, and Donnie Hein third. All GM custom vehicles were in class 4. Winning 1st was Kirk Chapman, 2nd to Jack Huff, and 3rd went to Larry Best. Class 5 consisted of Chrysler Dodge Plymouth Stock with Marsha Pearson getting 1st and Gary Todd 2nd. Chrysler Dodge Plymouth custom class 6 first place was given to Joe Wyeloff. There were not any entries in classes 7, 8, 9, and 10. Class 11 had vintage stock with Mike Hawk in 1st, Tracy Friedrich 2nd, and Jerry Doss 3rd. Class 12 was for vintage custom cars and Russell (Sug) Rayl won 1st in it. Class 13 was the Rat Class with 4 or more wheels and Dennis Jones won 1st. Randy Farris received 1st place in the Class 14 Rat with 2 or 3 wheels. Class 15 through 28 were motorcycle classes. The first one was the Motorcycle Domestic Touring Stock bikes with Ricky Davis getting 1st, Shawn Wilson 2nd, and Rex Jeffries 3rd. Next was Motorcycle Domestic Touring custom bike where Robert Craig got 1st and Randy Farris 2nd. Motorcycle Domestic Cruiser Stock winners were Jeff Pearson in 1st, Brendon Roberts 2nd, and Isaiah Pearson 3rd. In the Motorcycle Domestic Cruise Custom class, 1st place to Brad O’Broen, 2nd to Jason Nelson, and 3rd to Toby Chapman. Motorcycle Metric Cruiser Stock was won by Jake Lettler. In the Motorcycle Metric Cruiser Custom class, Randy Farris got 1st and Daniel Dietzman 2nd. Greg Thurman won 1st in the Motorcycle Metric Sport Stock class. First place to Lee Anderson in the Motorcycle Trike Sidecar all class. Andre’a Stull won the Specialty Vehicles 2,3, or 4 wheels class. At the end of the day, the People’s Choice Motorcycles award was given to Andre’a Stull. Larry Vest was selected as the winner in the People’s Choice Car or Truck award.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. –An action photo of a traditional ranching activity has been named the 2025 Focus on Missouri Agriculture Photo Contest Best in Show. Holly Brown of Webb City, Mo., submitted the photo, which was chosen from more than 700 entries to the contest.
