June 2025 monthly jobs report

Missouri nonfarm payroll employment increased by 7,900 jobs in June 2025, and the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was steady at 4 percent. Private industry employment increased by 7,200 jobs and government employment increased by 700 jobs. Over the year, there was an increase of 25,600 jobs from June 2024 to June 2025, and the unemployment rate increased by two-tenths of a percentage point, from 3.8 percent in June 2024 to 4 percent in June 2025.

BRLMOBILE2GO summer outreach schedule

Boonslick Regional Library’s Outreach Services, BRLMobile2GO, provides outreach to Pettis, Benton and Cooper counties to residents who are not able to visit a library location, including senior centers, day cares, schools, community centers and remote areas. BRL2GO provides free Wi-Fi access to rural communities, brings books to community centers, schools and rural areas, delivers books on a schedule each month, brings specifically requested titles or a new collection at each visit, and provides all Outreach Services free of charge. Prairie Home Boosters to hold kickball tournament

There will be a kickball tournament for the Prairie Home Booster Club on Saturday August 16th at 6:00pm. The tournament will be held at the softball/baseball field. Team names and colors should be given to Kassandra Thomsen (402-269-8682). There is a registration fee of $50.00 per team. A small concession stand will be available for spectators and players. There will also be trophies given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. Come on out and support your school and students and let’s kick off this school year with a successful fundraiser.
