INDIANAPOLIS - Nash McKenzie has been recognized as a National FFA American Star Award finalist in the Agribusiness category.

INDIANAPOLIS - Nash McKenzie has been recognized as a National FFA American Star Award finalist in the Agribusiness category.
Ethan Allen was born January 21, 1738, in Connecticut, to Joseph and Mary Baker Allen. An American farmer, writer, military officer, and politician, he is best known for the capture of Fort Ticonderoga during the Revolutionary War.

The Clear Creek Knights of Columbus Council 2261 held their 45th annual slow pitch tournament again at the Pilot Grove ball fields.
A small group of enthusiastic volunteers spend their Labor Day Sunday at the Prairie Home ball field cleaning up and painting. Thank you to Kassandra and Bryllee Thomsen, Jessica Kaiser, Rori Comstock, Timi Burnett, Brittany Castle, and Beaux Dilleshaw. This small but mighty group was able to paint the bleachers and give the bathrooms a much-needed overhaul, while cleaning trash and debris from around the field.

Boonslick Regional Library’s Outreach Services, BRLMobile2GO, provides outreach to Pettis, Benton and Cooper counties to residents who are not able to visit a library location, including senior centers, day cares, schools, community centers and remote areas. BRL2GO provides free Wi-Fi access to rural communities, brings books to community centers, schools and rural areas, delivers books on a schedule each month, brings specifically requested titles or a new collection at each visit, and provides all Outreach Services free of charge. Fayette, Mo. – The Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art, on the campus of Central Methodist University, will open its fall show on Sunday, August 31, with a reception celebrating “The World According to Tom & Larry.” The fall exhibit featuring works by Larry Kantner, Thomas Hart Benton, and Benton’s students will run until November 20.
