During the past three years, Rock Stars have been instrumental in the success of the Sippin’ Strollin’ Rockin’ & Rollin’ community celebrations that have brought more than 500 people to Downtown Boonville each year. These Rock Star supporters, who donate $250 to support the project, have been the foundation and backbone of a project that provides not only a festive event, but also an opportunity to showcase the Boonville community. Co-sponsored by the Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Friends of the Library for the Boonslick Regional Library–Cooper County Branch, proceeds of more than $40,000 generated by these events have been equally divided and benefited both Chamber projects and the Library’s relocation to its soon-to-be new home on the Kemper Campus. This year, Sippin’ Strollin’ Rockin’ & Rollin’ will be held on Saturday, October 18th, rain or shine. The Mercantile has been reserved as an indoor location in case of inclement weather.
