Volunteers are the KEY to success!

Preparations for the 4th Annual Sippin’ Strollin’ Rockin’ & Rollin’ community celebration on Saturday, October 18, in Historic Downtown Boonville are in full swing and event organizers are looking for additional volunteers. “It is a busy weekend, but we hope those interested in helping for a couple of hours will let us know they are available,” explained Co-Chair, Mary Pat Abele. “We are fortunate to have Lisa and Don Street serve as Volunteer Coordinators again this year and they welcome volunteers who have helped at past events as well as encourage new volunteers to join the fun,” she added.

Spirit of ‘76 hosts social at Boonville warehouse

The Spirit of ‘76 hosted a social and tour evening at their Warehouse & Distribution Center in Boonville on Wednesday, October 1. Brisket, pulled pork, a potato casserole, and other goodies along with cold drinks were served before John Bechtold, owner, and Ben Muzzey, the Dealer Network Elite Account Coordinator, welcomed everyone and gave them a history of the company.

BRLMOBILE2GO fall outreach schedule

Boonslick Regional Library’s Outreach Services, BRLMobile2GO, provides outreach to Pettis, Benton and Cooper counties to residents who are not able to visit a library location, including senior centers, day cares, schools, community centers and remote areas. BRL2GO provides free Wi-Fi access to rural communities, brings books to community centers, schools and rural areas, delivers books on a schedule each month, brings specifically requested titles or a new collection at each visit, and provides all Outreach Services free of charge.
