About 40 paying guests filled the Senior Center on Saturday, August 23, and enjoyed a spaghetti dinner while members of the Boonslick Senior Center entertained them with “Alice in Wonderland”, an interactive murder mystery. Outrageous costumes and makeup added to the fun as actors moved in and around the diners while playing their parts. Guests had the opportunity to follow along as clues were presented in order to solve the mystery of who murdered Tweedledee. There was no shortage of suspects and all were quick to point fingers at everyone else.
As the final notes of Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 7 in A Major” echoed through Thespian Hall on Saturday, August 23, the 50th Missouri River Festival of the Arts came to a close.
Prior to the start of the regular August Board of Education meeting, the school district held a tax levy hearing.

Boonslick Regional Library’s Outreach Services, BRLMobile2GO, provides outreach to Pettis, Benton and Cooper counties to residents who are not able to visit a library location, including senior centers, day cares, schools, community centers and remote areas. BRL2GO provides free Wi-Fi access to rural communities, brings books to community centers, schools and rural areas, delivers books on a schedule each month, brings specifically requested titles or a new collection at each visit, and provides all Outreach Services free of charge.
