The Boonville Youth Cheerleaders competed in the Mexico Optimists Cheer Competition. It was the first time they had ever competed in the competition. They came home with a 3rd place finish. There were 27 girls who participated in the age range from 3rd to 6th grade. Participating in the event were third graders Kendall Begemann, Kinsley Kilmer, DayLynn Reynolds and Mercedes Stonecipher; fourth graders Cassil Sterling, Emryn Crawford, Peyton Mackenzie Crossno, Amelia Holden, Nia May, Brielle Perry, Brooklyn Rogers and Bailey Thacher; fifth graders Lyric Wood, Brooklyn Bosma, Parker DeVillier, Nyomi John, Peyton Keithly, Eden Makintuhee, Ta’niya McKinney, Jayden Pfeiffer, Allana Roper, Lucy Rubino Bowen, Makylah Tate and Evelyn Tracy; and sixth graders Claire Brooks, Kassidy Felton and Aleyiah Runkle.
