Boonville senior wrestler Xavier Flippin throws his opponent to the mat in the 144-pound weight class Tuesday night in the season opener at the Windsor Gymnasium at Boonville High School. Flippin, a returning state qualifier, finished 1-0 on the night by beating Fatima's Tyler Kloeppel in overtime 10-9. The Boonville Pirates wrestling team also finished 1-1 in duals by beating Higginsville 60-18 and losing to Fatima 48-31.
