Brownfield hits career high with 31 points in 58-53 win over Centralia

Just the mention of Centralia gets Boonville senior Addi Brownfield ready to come out fighting but in a good way. After pouring in a season high 29 points last year against Centralia in the Centralia Invitational Tournament, Brownfield hit that mark and then some again on Wednesday in the semifinal round by tying her career-high with 31 points in a 58-53 win against the Panthers.

NEW FRANKLIN - Roberta Ann “Bobbie” Irvin, 80, of New Franklin, passed away December 6, 2021 at Ashley Manor in Boonville. Bobbie was born in San Francisco, California on December 23, 1940 a daughter of the late Carroll Lee and Olive Lillian Grieve Jones.

Greis Trucking gets bid for Morgan Street project

Boonville Director of Public Works Jeff Ditto said at Monday’s Boonville Council Meeting that Greis Trucking had the low bid for the FEMA/SEMA stormwater project on Morgan Street. Ditto said the bid by Greis Trucking came in at $261,595.37, which was the lowest bid out of four submittted.

New Franklin boys and girls pick up wins against Fayette

New Franklin boys basketball coach Ross Dobson called Tuesday night’s 54-45 win over the Fayette Falcons has as another great effort by this group of young men. The Bulldogs, improving to 4-2 overall, trailed Fayette 23-22 at the half before rallying back with a 15-9 advantage in the third quarter to go up 37-32.
