JEFFERSON CITY (Jan. 13, 2022) – Ahead of the next forecasted round of freezing temperatures, Ameren Missouri is reminding customers to plan for severe winter weather in advance. This includes having proper supplies on hand for a winter storm.
The Boonville Lady Pirates basketball team did what they had to do Thursday night against the Versailles Tigers. In a varsity only game at Versailles, the Lady Pirates outscored the Tigers in three of the four quarters of play for a convincing 65-43 victory.
The Boonville Pirates basketball team found out really quick where they stood after one quarter Friday night against the Hallsville Indians. Although Boonville played Hallsville closer from the second quarter on Friday night, the first quarter proved to be the difference in a 70-45 loss.

The Prairie Home boys’ and girls’ basketball teams knew it was going to be a battle against the Jamestown Eagles and that both games would come down to attrition and experience. As it turned out, the Lady Panthers weren’t counting on Jamestown to have one of its best nights offensively while dropping an 80-48 decision.
The Pilot Grove boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will chalk up Friday night’s games as a learning experience against the Cairo Bearcats. While the Lady Tigers took it on the chin 71-36, the Pilot Grove boys fell against the state-ranked Bearcats 89-33.
The New Franklin boys’ basketball team fought through adversity Friday night on the road by beating the Community R-6 Trojans 58-54. The Bulldogs, 10-4 overall, outscored Community in 2 of the 4 quarters of play and matched the Trojans in the final period.
