Prairie Home Homecoming

Tim Stewart and Aubree Hedgepeth were selected king and queen during Prairie Home’s Homecoming Friday night after the Prairie Home-Jamestown basketball game. The prince and princess were eighth graders Bowen Force and Jordyn Alpers. In addition to the Homecoming game, Prairie Home also held Senior Night to recognize the 11 seniors and their parents. They were Kaylee Angle, Elizabeth Bishop, Logan Fairchild, Dakota Kuester, Oliver Lock, Christian Nieves, Peyton Pitts, Allison Simmons, Timothy Stewart, Savanna Tracy and Paiton Williams. Jamestown won both games against Prairie Home, winning 80-48 in the girl’s game and 60-57 in the boy’s game.

Addison Brownfield nominated for 2022 McDonald’s All American Games

BOONVILLE, MO – Boonville senior Addi Brownfield has been dominated for the 2022 McDonald’s All-American Games in Chicago, which features some of the top high school players in the nation. The McDonald’s All American Games is where hype becomes legacy, and is the next step in the journey from being a local standout, to five-star recruit, and ultimately to becoming a household name.

Jamestown doubles up Prairie Home, Bunceton in CCAA

The Prairie Home boys’ and girls’ basketball teams knew it was going to be a battle against the Jamestown Eagles and that both games would come down to attrition and experience. As it turned out, the Lady Panthers weren’t counting on Jamestown to have one of its best nights offensively while dropping an 80-48 decision.

Pilot Grove boys and girls fall against Cairo

The Pilot Grove boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will chalk up Friday night’s games as a learning experience against the Cairo Bearcats. While the Lady Tigers took it on the chin 71-36, the Pilot Grove boys fell against the state-ranked Bearcats 89-33.

New Franklin boys win thriller against Community, 58-54

The New Franklin boys’ basketball team fought through adversity Friday night on the road by beating the Community R-6 Trojans 58-54. The Bulldogs, 10-4 overall, outscored Community in 2 of the 4 quarters of play and matched the Trojans in the final period.
