Russian attacks halt plans to evacuate Ukrainian civilians

LVIV, Ukraine (AP) — A second attempt to evacuate civilians from a besieged city in southern Ukraine collapsed Sunday amid renewed Russian shelling, while Russian President Vladimir Putin turned the blame for the war back on Ukraine and said Moscow’s invasion could be halted “only if Kyiv ceases hostilities.”

Lady Pirates finish 2021-22 season with many memorable moment

After winning its first-ever state title in 2020-21 at 27-2 overall, many felt like the Boonville Lady Pirates basketball team would be at a crossroads after losing four starters to graduation. But it was just the opposite as Boonville closed out the 2021- 22 campaign at 16-8 overall and 6-1 in the Tri-County Conference under head coach Jaryt Hunziker.

Boonville to play in Jamboree on March 12
